The public examination of Leonard Viti 'Griffiths, bankrupt auctioneer, oi Taihape, was held beforo Mr. Justice Chapman at the Supreme Court to-duy. Bankrupt was subjected to a close examination regarding iiis business transactions. lie stated that he had received money totalling £9OO from an Indian named Bhana Qhibi. Ho looked upon the sum as a gift. Mr. Justice Chapipan : Do you know any other gent.email so flush as that? Bankrupt said that ho had carried on his business on this sum of money, together with that of his creditors.
