"T GISBORNE CLUB. A .large number of bowlers were present on the above,club’s green yesterday afternoon, the weather being warm and t.he green running fairly keenly. The inter-district match was advanced another stage, when City met Kaiti in the second round, Whutaupoko having beaten City in the first round. City defeated Kaiti by a handsome margin, tho following being tlife results, of the individual games, City teajns being mentioned first in each instance Gibbs. Wilkinson, Staff, Hueston (sk.) 57 v. Nasmith, Hartley, Clarkson, Robertson (sk.) 5. Sutton, Hooper, Truman, Booth (sk.) 18 v. Harris, Harris, Maude, Beat sun (skf) 18. Bird, Wildish, Thelwall, Stephenson (sk.) 52 V v. Doddrell, Moneiieif, Miller, -Sinclair (sk) 14.
The third round will ' be played next Thursday between ,Kaiti and Wliataupoko. Ordinary ganies played were: Andrew and Contis. 21 v. Sheltqn and Mahoney 18: McKeague and Seymour 20 v. Evans and Sidobottom 17. KAHuiIA CLUB. There—was only'' a fair attendance of members' on the green yesterday, the hockey tournament proving the draw. A challenge game for the Graham Stars was got off, find resulted in the holders being defeated, the scores being as follows: Coleman, Wiggens, Jenkins, Dudfield (skip) 28 v. €. Pollock, B. Taylor, Rotliwell, Sawyer (skip) 15. 'Ordinary game: Oookson, Spence. K. J. Warren (skin) 21 v. G. Richardson, Fislibach, It. Muldoon (skip) 17.
