ASSOCIATION GAME. IPer Press Association.l WELLINGTON, last night. The New Zealand Football Association Council has received a cable from A, Storey, in Australia: “This associations controls Ihe Chinese tour, and is willing to extend matches. Suggest Auckland October 27, Wellington November 11. The terms are that you provide the entertaining and take 20 per cent, of profit, Sydney to Sydney.’’ The finance committee recommended that the offer was unacceptable, and the council negotiate direct with the Chinese authorities. This was agreed to. The committee favored combining with Australia for a Canadian tour, but consideration of an English tour was held over until Mr, Bagrie returns. It was recommended that in future a kit allowance be paid to visiting players. The financial position of the N.Z.F.A. was stressed, and the attention of the local association is to be called to the necessity for re organisation.
The following players represent Taruheru against Mercantile to-morrow afternoon on the Childers road Reserve : T. Bury, W. Bury, G. French, W. Livingstone, B. Hosier, W. Parker, J. Forsliavr, F. Forshaw, R. Downey, Robinson, Marlor; reserve, Bert Gardiner; referee, Mr. McKay. Kick off 3.15 p.m.
