Housewives throughout t.lie country are organising a boycott for the purpose of lowering the price of sugar, which is now being retailed from ten to twelve cents a pound 1 . Various women's club organisations in Mew York, Washington, Chicago, Buffalo audi other principal cities arc conducting a series of meetings and) house-to-house canvassing, in an effort to persuade* housekeepers to refrain from buying until sugar is cheaper.
