Mr. Lloyd George, speaking at ManI chester in support of an effort to i liquidate tho debt on the local hospital, said if tho voluntary hospital system broke down the cost of hospitals would be increased threefold. Eminent doctors would not give their services without a fee and the country would lose what money could not buy—human sympathy. The Marquis of Ailsa unveiled a memorial to tho officers and men of the Royal Flying Corps, also Australian and American airmen killed while- serving at the aerial gunnery school in Turnberry, Ayrshire.
