Billiards: McConachy’ 14,467, including a break of 108; and Reece 14,178, including a break of 362. Despite Smith’s anxiety to beat Falkincr in order to meet Newman with equal victories in Die next heat of the tournament, Falkiner several times took the lead during the week, though lie made fewer big breaks than his opponent, his best being 255 and 213. Smith’s best were 547, 432, and 357. The scores are: Smith 14.513; Falkiner, 14,317. Newman was 2000 ahead of Inman in Die middle of t lie week, hut the latter has since wiped off 10C0. Breaks were: Newman, 602, 363, and 325; and Inman, 306, 596, 280 and 245. The scores lire: Newman 14,233; Inman, 13,251. In the second round of the amateur championship, Fry heat Fleming, the former holder of tire title, by 2000 to 1823. Fleming made a break of 172, the highest of any competitor. ‘ LONDON, Feb. 5.
