(Per Press Association 1 * AUCKLAND, this day. A married woman, Mary Elizabeth Jones, died from burns sustained while recovering from a nervous breakdown at a private hospital. She was found in a yard with her clothing enveloped in flames. At tho inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. WELLINGTON, this day. Tho general secretary of the Locomotive Engineers ’, Firemen, and Cleaners' Association states that,there is no truth in statements which! have been circulated that tlio association had agreed to an alteration in the hours of duty and overtimes rates.
