MIRACULOUS ESCAPES: ENGINE HURLED IN AIR. LONDON, Dec. 21.—The enginemen of the Aberdeen-Penzance expressi had a miraculous escape near Durham. While an empty train was being shunted, the express, which fortunately had slowed down to 12 miles an hour, crashed into the rear. .There was l a terrific impact. The express engine was hurled oyer an embankment and let off its steam, but the occupants escaped. The passengers were unhurt.
