FIRE AT PALMERSTON.
Per Presj Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. A fire shortly after midnight gutted four shops, the property of Henry Doieen, in Main street west, occupied by Gray (butcher), Ricketts (tobacconist), Wong Sun (fruiterer), and Joe Lee (laundry). The contents were destroyed, the occupants suffering heavy losses. ' Fire insurances on the four shops was £1000; Pickett's stock, £200; Won Shung, £175.
