(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. At the Congregational Union Conference officers were elected as follows: Rev. Frederick Warner (Auckland), chairman for 1922; Rev. A. E. Hunt (Wellington), secretary; Rev. A. H. Wtflker (Dunedin), registrar; H. H. Miller (Wellington), auditor; W. Mill (Wellington), L.M.S. secretary; Rev. H. J. Ralph (Auckland), preacher for 1922, and an extra moral committee. The Revs. H. J. Ralph and W. J. Southworth obtained complete passes, and will in due courso be ordained in Auckland district. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. z At the Pharmaceutical Conference remits from the Auckland and Wellington divisions regarding chemists’ hours were discussed at length. It was decided to reaffirm the resolution of last year’s conference that an amendment be sought of Section 17 of (lie Police Offences Act. It was also decided that application be made for a Dominion award for chemists’ assistants and managers. The next conference will bo helcL in Auckland. ’ DUNEDIN, this dav. At the Supreme Court, William S Holes, who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to forgery and false pretences, came up for sentence. Accused had also pleaded guilty ,to forgery and uttering at Invercargill under the name of William Weson. He was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and declared an habitual offender.
