PRESENTATIONS AND FAREWELL. FELICITOUS SPEECHES. (Received March 10, 9.30 a.m.) MELBONRNE, March 10. ’ Douglas, the captain, and Toone, the manager, were the recipients of presentations at a Cricket Association farewell. Mr Douglas said that he would never forgefc the hospitable treatment. The team had been beaten by a side which had batted better, bowled better, and dropped fewer catches. - Mr Toone thanked the public for the • sporting manner in which they invariably treated visiting players. The few isolated exceptions, he said, were unworthy of notice.—U.P.A. ‘ :
