AUSTRALIA V. MTNOR ASSOCIATIONS. WELLINGTON, last night. The eighth match of the Australian tour opened to-day, when the visitors met a team representative of the minoi associations of New Zealand. Ransforc stood out of the visitors’ team, which was led by Waddy, who won the tost from Collins, the skipper for the Nev Zealanders. The Australians batted first, and were all out for 271. The end of the innings was somewhat sensational. Seven wickets were down for 271, and thereafter there was no addition to the score, Collins finishing with a fine average. Richardson played sterling cricket for his mns, also Lftnipard dnd Ratcliffe. The minor associations opening after the tea adjournment was principally marked for the capital forcing, aggressive innings of Lucre, wjio was bowled during the last over of the day.
