The emeralds bud on the plum . tree's And toss out their, dainty white frllj, The apricot blossoms, soft : tlnted Are crowded, and o'er the ground spill. The. golden daffodil's trumpet y. Is blowing, and- podding its head, And the purple violet's creeping ■'„, Like a fragrant carpet spread. ; . The peaches with pink-tint petals V Aye showering them over the lawn, YAnd rich cream cap-like freeslas : ,Give scent, on the spring wind borne, And --Jiaukau m scarlet glory.
