TALL MAN'S DEATH.
.». (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. At the inquest concerning the death ; of Anthony Patterson, aged 23 years, I farm laborer, who shot himself at the j Occidental private hotel on the previous j day, a verdict was returned that death j was caused by a bullet wound m the ! head, self-inflicted, the* evidence being ; not sufficient to show m what state of : mind deceased was at the time. I Deceased is stated to have been the j tallest man m the Dominion, his height being 6ft Bin. He. was an, ex-member of the Expeditionary Force, and when m camp he was photographed with his arms extended and , with an averagedsized man under each of them. This was reproduced _ m the illustrated newspapers at the time.
