NAVAL QUESTION
NO NEGOTIATIONS BY NEW ZEALAND. \ (Per Press Association.) v WELLINGTON, this day. The cable message from London stating that on the authority of the naval cor respondent of the Daily Express nego tiations were m progress between, tho Admiralty and New Zealand for the formation of a squadron for the New Zealand station, was brought under thf notice of the Prime Minister. Mr. Massey replied that there wer.e no negotiations, adding, that while m Paris he had the opportunity of talking over the nava question with the First Lord of the Admiralty and also the First Sea Lord, bul nothing that took place then could be •1 escribed as a negotiation.
