In the Divorce Court at Auckland last week an allegation of misconduct vas mide by Frederick James McKins*rv (Mr Hall Skelton) against Zen a Mary McKinstry. In his evidence, the petisaid the marriage took place n.< r ii«borfie m 1914. There were no childen. His wife showed no interest' m housework, and seemed to wish to travel about. At the end of about r year she left him without, any cause that he cotild think of, and went tc work a* a waitress at several d-fferent 'totels. It iwas not until the middle of 1917 tltat he could persuade her t;come back. They lived together Tor ?ix months, but she still showed the same desire to roam, and he had cause to complain of her conduct towards other men. At the end of the time she said she was tired of housekeeping, and left. Afterwards he saw her frequently m the company of the corespondent, Augustus , Henry G ill'man. (who had gone to live at the hotel where/ she had taken work, When he reproached her, she took no heed, ,ahd later she gave him a written admission of misconduct. He was prleßent at the service, of the papers' on Gill-ma n, who then denied misconduct, but sa,id that he would not defend the case if the respondent would not. A decree nisi was granted, with costs against the co-respondent on the lower scale.
