THE TE KOAS
For a considerable time past Qisborne concert-goers have missed something m the way of entertaining novelty, and fulfilment of that desire has come with the Te Koas' Concert Party," which will open at the Opera House for a four nights* season, commencing Wednesday night. The company comprises men j who have fought as well as helped to lighten the burden of soldier brothers on the battle-fronts of Europe, by the| soothing strains of music discoursed near to the trenches. As a result of their experiences these artists have acquired intuitive judgment m the selection of items affording a real pleasure. Those who have had the privilege of attending the entertainments speak m the, highest praise of the fine solo and concerted work of the performers. What is more to the point, the troupe promise to provide . the -very latest m song and vepse from\ the music Halls of the older lands. An exchange writes:— ''The Te Koas ,were again m popular demand last 7 evening when they submitted the current programme before a large and appreciative audience. The various efforts of the performers were well re-, ceived, the new songs which they have ; brought with them from behind the | trenches and from the Old Land making a very favourable impression.
