Albert A. Kaufman, production ,manr ager of the Famous Players-Lasky, British Producers, Ltd., which will make motion pictures abroad, recently sailed for London to inaugurate the^company's .European activities •; He will, be accom-, panied by a, technical staff, and will be followed soon by directors and, other, representatives of the company. Recent cable despatches state that British movie interests resent CKe^ American invasion, and.- have threatened to boycott American pictures. British capi'tali»te are interested m the iiew venture. WoJHc on the first production, m London wUK be started within a. few weeks, it is announced. A site for the London studio has been selected. Studios will also be built m many European countries. Mr. Kaufman .was recently discharged as a captain m the army.
