WAIROA, this day, The sergeant of police has received information that on Sunday afternoon a Maori girl, aged 12, while playing on a ledge near Te Reinga Falls, was swept over a preoipice of 100 feet. The police went out, but no trace of the body has been found, I A fatal motor accident occurred yesterday on the road between Opoutama and Morere. Mr. J. L. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Law Society the following motion was passed': That this meeting records its emphatic protest against the hasty passage through Parliament of important legislation without proper and adequate consideration.
