New Zealand has been favored with visits, from famous singers at various periods, and " the*'announcement is now made ; that Signor Cappelli, the great i Italian operatic tenor, will Appear on Monday evening next at (the Opera House.' Cappelli is not ■ unknown, for he is=' favorably remembered as. the priivcipal tenor of thb Gonzalez Opera Company when the .latter made their recent tour of the Dominion. The many laudatory notices which were then .written of- Cappelli agreed m marking him as an artist of • rare talent, and the -possessor of ;a rich' tenor voice, of remarkable range arid* : pure quality. The opportunity of again., hearing . Cappelli. ,will be • welcomed with pleasure by all who delight m, appreciating art at' its;highest value. Cappelli is far above . the average type of singer. He is an artist from, .whom the aspiring vocalist may gain much of value by listening to CappelH's \ masterly/ interpi'etation, -and studying,, as far as a short appearance on the stage will permit, his skilful- production.
