ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE THE
POPULACE.
(Reuters Telegram.) PARIS, Sept. 16. Several squadrons of enemy aeroplanes bombed Paris. Despitd an intense barrage, ' there were some fatalities and material damage. PARIS, Sept. 16. PARIS, Sept. 16. j The- air raid was remarkable owing to the numbers of the enemy and ' the intensity of the anti-aircraft guns' reply, the enemy's great determination, and the indication of a desire to intimidate the population as part of the peace offensive. ' (Received Sept. 18, 2.10 p.m.) PARIS, Sept. 17. Six persons were killed and 15 injured during the air raid.
