FIGHTING ON USURI FRONT. 'Australian and N.Z. Cable Association J Received! August 21, 2.5 p.m.) TIENTSIN, Aug. 20. The advanced Czeoho forces on the Usuri front are meeting with desperate resistance from German-led Bolsheviki and have been compelled to retire towards the main body. A foice of Bolsheviki appeared in tho rear of the Allied advanced posts on tho Usuri. This may cause a temporary retirement. Japanese naval forces hfive landed at Nikolarevsk to protect their nationals.
