INVENTED BIG GUN.
MONSTER. PIECE OF ARTILLERY. • MADRID, March 29. The Madrid press is claiming for twoj Catelonian Spaniards the credit for the invention of the long-range gun which ■ has been bombarding Paris.. These Spaniards are declared to bave been ,« working since 1916. Tlie inventors, ' according to the press, offered the invention to Spain, and then to the Allies, but in neither case met with a favorable response. The German consulate at Barcelona, however, is said to have investigated the invention and sent the men to Germany in a submarine after purchasing the idea. The invention is explained as that of two or three subsidiary fuses detonated in the flying missile, -which thus carries long distances.
