The High Commissioner reports : LONDON, April 29, 11 p.m
A British official report states : Tin's morning 'the enemy trench system to the south of Oppy was captured on a front, of a mile, after heavy fighting. There were several unsuccessful enemy counter-attacks.
Sine© yesterday morning we have taken 976 prisoners.
LONDON, April 30, 12.40 p.m. Sir Douglas Haig reports: Between Monchy le Preux and the Scarpe, in small local operations, a few prisonerp were taken. The position was improver; during the night. Northwards, of Ypres a successful raid was carried out. Eighteen prisoners ami a machine-gun were captured. LONDON. April 30, 6.20 p.m. A German official message states the English losses in Saturday's fightinp were GOOOj who fell, and 1000 were taken prisoner. Forty machine guns were captured and ten tanks destroyed. A Mesopotamia official report states ■ The Turkish Eighteenth Army Corps o» Friday was reported to be entrenching fifteen miles northward of Samarra. Its total losses on the 18th, 21st and 22nd April were about 4000.
