GERMANY WILLING TO LEND
SHIPS TO HOLLAND

AMSTERDAM, February 28. The German Legation has informed the Dutch Government that Germany is willing to place German ships at Holland's disposal during the war as compensation for the seven Dutch ships torpedoed, on the understanding that Holland negotiates for the eventual purchase of the ships after the war.
