Sir Douglas Haig reports: We captured three-quarters of a mile of trench north-east of Beaumont Hamel. A counter-aitack was smashed. We made feuccesful raids eastward <>1 Armentieres and north-east of Ypres to the neighborhood of Gra-ndcourt.
