During proceedings at the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) said : "Unfortunately, m our community there seem to b© people who think it is no shame to get drunk. This no doubt accounts for th© larg« number of soldiers who ar© to be seen vi a drunken state m, the streets, and it could easily be stopped by the Defence authorities declaring hotels to b© out of. bounds.
