(Per Press Association j NELSON, this day. Heavy rain on Saturday evening caused almost unprecedented floods m the city and lowlying parts. v The flood did considerable damage to property. Ther,© is a big slip on Rocks road. A house was dislodged m Port road by a fall of earth.' ;i ; -":' ;. ; . BLENHEIM, this day. Railway communication with Pioton is interrupted by washouts near Tuamarina and Spring Green, where the country is -inundated by the Wairua river overflowing. Blenheim and adjoining districts are unaffected.
