A communique states : There is an ar tillery struggle on the Somme front. A German 'night attack southward ol Soyecourt failed under, our fire. The Germans are bombarding Fleurj sector. There was grenade fighting at Cha-pelle-Steffe. Out machine-guns repulsed an attach against the trenches at Lesparges.
