BREAKING DOWN RESISTANCE AT SOME POINTS. BULGARS HELPING GERMANS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) - PETROGRAD, July 18. A. wireless communique, summing up the fighting on Sunday, says: — General Sakaroff has broken down the resistance of the enemy east and southeast of Svinuhi, m Volhynia. Our advance continues on the Lower Lipa, where the enemy are making a stubborn resistance. We took prisoner 277 officers and 8037 men, and captured 24 guns on the Lower Lipa. Our offensive is also advancing m tlie direction of Kirltbaba, tho frontier of Transylvania. A communique says: We continue to press the enemy iv Volhynia, capturing prisoners. COPENHAGEN, July 18. It is reported Irom Petrograd that violent German efforts to recapture lost treiichejs at Czernowitz failed. The Russians are advancing. Bulgarians are participating m thp Baranovitch fighting.
