RESCUED FROM THE SEA.
(Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. A. young men, Rudolph Maeyertz.son of Mr CAN. Baeyert/., editor of the Triad magazine, had a narrow escape from drowning off Devonport beach on Sunday morning. He got into difficulties m deep water while bathing, and had gone under several times when his struggles were noticed by two other young men, who immediately jumped m with all their clothes on and brought hini to land. He was then found to bo unconscious, and was promptly taken to a surgery. Artificial respiration eventually brought him round. m_»_mw-m-m»w----mw-_"
