On the 19th and 20th there 'was most stuborn lighting at Riverringov^, where the Russians have slightly progressed. On the left of the Vistiila at dawn on Sunday the enemy offensive isolated columns to the front and south of the river Pilitssa. After a shorfc tight the , enemy were every where thrown- back, and lost 100 prisoners. \ On the Dniester the enemy made barren attacks between Mikalojow and Zydaezbwo, hi the of which they ware driven baclc to the villages of Demenka .and Lie&na, and sustained .ieavy Looms. The Higli Commissioner reports: — ; LONDON, June 22, 5.20 p.rli. Fourteen large shells fell at Dunkirk last night. A civilian was killed- , Belgian; .troops captured a trench south-west of , fcst. German counter-attack last evening east of Chennevieres Farm -was checked by; infantry and artillery. The enemy used asphyxiating bombs. Iv Lorraine a fresh attack by the French extended their positions 300 metres'' northward- of the crest east of Reillou. We occupied the hills south' of Reraabois, easily* repulsing a counterattack from Lein trey and another southeast of Parroy, taking prisoners. In the Valley -of. La, Fecht .'our gains were maintained. Wo continue to progress. The French are beyond Metzeral, north and south, and Andas-isur-Ssen. • Iv the region of Sowdernaoh they took prisoners and three mitrailleuses.
