• i* _ A meeting for the purpose of forming a Debating Society waa held here on Saturday night, when, there was a very good attendance. TJic following officers were elected : President, Mr Mcßae ; vice-president, Mr Hope; committee, Messrs Finlayson, Tunriicliff, Randall, Davis, and U. Loane; secretaa % v, Mr Pryor. It was decided that the society should meet fortnightly.
