NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. (Per Press Association.) i WELLINGTON, last night. The Council, of the New Zealand Football Association met to-night; Mr L. White (Canterbury) presiding. -^ The Wellington Football Association wrote requesting that the balance of the suspension placed yon 11. Ives last. ,year be removed. — It was decided to agmp to the request. ■ The Wellington Association also re/ quested that the Crouch case be re-, opened. "We view with supreme dissatisfaction your decision not to : reopen the case/,' read the letter.— Mr R. Y. Wall. moved that the case be reopened,, and Mr 8., L. Salmon (secretary) iuoved an amendment that the matter be referred to 'the Appeal Board set up under law 23. The amendment was carried : by six votes. to two. J The Poverty Bay Football Association forwarded a goal-keeper's glove, which had been objected to by a referee as dangerous to players.— The New Zealand Referees' Association v forwarded the. opinion that the glove was quite safe, and ■It ".was decided to confirm this opinion. ' The same ' Association , (Poverty Bay) also submitted the suspensions of several players for confirmation, and it was resolved, to. hold the matter over until an origirfal document dealing with the incident had • been received. ' ■■' "■ The Canterbury Association's action m postponing the Hawke's Bay Brown shield match from June 27 to July. 4 was con-, firmed. The Association requested permission to! delay the other shield matches, lifut it was resolved to Inform the secretary of the C.F.A. that the rules demand that the challenge shield matches be 'played at three weeks' • intervals. ■ The neit ■match ' As to be permitted to be. played on August 8. V . ■ It was decided to ask the Canterbury Association when they propose to play the challenges after the Wanganui match. ' ! ' ".■ •■•:-!■' The challenge of the Wellington Football Association for the shield was acceiited and forwarded to Cliristchurch. The Rangers Club (Cliristchurch) appealed against a decision of the Canterbury Football Association by which a game wherein the referuo made, a .mistake was re-played .--It was decided to dismiss the appeal and support the Association. ■ ■ ■■•■"■ m ' ■ ; Mr L.
