Captain Bartlett (avlio commanded the Karluk) is aAvaiting the United States revenue cutter to proceed to the rescue of the shipAvrecked Stefansson expedition. The party -is marooned at Wrangell Island. He states he knows nothing of the supposed loss of eight men as reported to the Government. Captain Bartlett added that men Avho left Wrangell to secure the provisions saved Avhen the Karluk avos Arrecked are believed to be safe. No others Avere imperilled.
