Cameron, m JuV evidence, said that lit* was m Lawrence's employ three weeks before going to , camp, permission to do so being granted by Lavvrencc. When witness returned to work he was told he was jiot wanted, and that there was another .man m hit? plnce. For the defence, counsel said that the real reason of Cameron's dismissal was incompetence, and he was onjy employed temporarily while one of tho 'hands was away. Mr Bartholomew, S.M., said it was certainly a ca?e for inquiry, ■•but he thought the explanation given by the employer was adequate ai|a an jvnswqr to tho charge. 'The defendant had never shown any hostility to Canuron attending the camp. The case would be dismissed.
