AUOKLAND, last night. The condition of the child, Dorothy Aukett, who was terribly injured m a railway accident at Otohuhu on Wednesday, is very serious. The inquest on Annie Aquilla Aukett, who was lulled at the same accident, was opened and adjourned. • AUCKLAND, this day. The child, Dorothy Aukett, injured by the railway accident 'at Otahuhu, which caused the death of her grandmother, died m the hospital to-day.
• A Masterton telegram states : "The body of Francis Forbes Gumming, who was lost m the ranges near Gladstone, was found m the bush at the back of Pirinoa on Wednesday. Deceased, who was a resident 1 , of Palmerston North and about 17 years of age, Avas camped with a companion on a shooting expedition. He lefjrthe camp oh Thursday morning m search of wild pigs, ''aiid. when he did not return his - companion became alarmed, and aroused tlie neighbortiood. Large search' parties were out m the recent rough weather.
