Siv, — It has been discovered that a report has been circulated (of course arising from ignorance of facts) that further assistance for the childrdn of the lato Mr E. White, the 'victim of the recont accident at Otoko, is not required, and on account of this,' many people are m doubt whether to' help or not. I \rrite this to assure the public thait this report is quite incorrect, wherever it may have originated, and anyone can have further expla-hation upon- communicating with me. For the satisfaction of the v many friends and sympatlhisers who have geneTousiy assisted, I should like. -to state tliat a committee has been formed , at Otoko, which ha,s appointed myself as chairman and Mr Roe. school "tencher. Mr Roe Mill give any information required. ;md all who have assisted ot wish to do so, can be assured that contributions will be used carefully, .and fullest enquiries made before any trustees are appointed. The-com-mittee members are well-known residents of this district.
