The football season will be opened next Saturday afternoon, when a match between the Napier Pirates and Kaiti City juniors will be played. The general meeting of the Gisborne Boxing Association has been postponed until Thursday, April 16. p Messrs Samson Bros, will hold an 'auction sale of fruit, poultry, and household furniture at their mart at 11 a.m. to-morrow, A social gathering will be held m Findlay's rooms this evening by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Society. The committee have arranged an attractive musical programme. All persons hailing from the above counties, or from the North of England, and their friends, are cordially invited to attend.
