SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
-m— The weather was most unfavorable for the Gisborne Swimming Club's carnival on Saturday night, consequently the attendance was not very large. The events were got off expeditiously, the secretary being Mr V. Dooling. The other officials were : Judges, Messrs D. J. Barry and? 1 F. J. Rowley ; handicapper, Mr C. Allen; call steward, Mr K. Allen. The results were as follows : — 50yds Maiden Handicap: H. Chrisp (3sec) 1, R. Adair (2sec) 2. 50yds Championship of Hawke's Bay : Bridges (Napier) and Seymour (Napier) dead heat 1, J.
