Mr Lloyd George, while at Glasgow, was the recipient of a letter threatening to wreck the express train, The Caledonian. Railway Company officials advised him to travel by another train. Mr Lloyd George insisted on journeying by the Flying Scotchman. The authorities took special precautions.
