Board, reports that of six million school children examined, 10 per cent, possessed defective eyesight, 2 per cent. ha<l defective hearing, 2 per cent, had suppurating ears, 10 per cent.- suffered from adenoids, 1 per cent, had ringworm; 1 per cent, tuberculosis, and -55 per cent, were affected by heart disease, and those requiring a dentist were over 50 per cent. Half a million were physically undermined owing to malnutrition.
