The River Plate shipments of mutton for the month totalled M 60.673 cahcases; lamb 5l";703 ' carcases, frozen beef *. 81,500 quarters, chilled beef 295,500 quarters. At the 1 tallow sales 1514 casks > were offered and 313 sold. Mutton, fine brought 385.. Od, medium 355; beef, fine 37s 6d, medium- 34s 6d.
' The Pacific Cable Board's receipts total £167,900, and the expenditure £121,625, leaving £32,269 to be provided by the Imperial- and Dominion Parliarhents.
