The League match New South Wales v. Rotorua was won by the visitors by 53 points to 5. New South Wales had the best of the game from the start, and m the first spell scored 26 to 5, Rotorua's score being due to laxity when Mackaire Tan through. Walker converted. In fhe. second spell Rotorua went to pieces, the collaring being very weak. The visitors' three-quarters, Frawley, Dean, Horder and Algie, were particularly conspicuous, the victory being due to the manner m which they threw the ball about, zigzagging over the field. Tries, scored by Horder (3), Algie (3), Cubit (2), Frawley (2), Sullivan, Craig, and Curran, were converted by Frawley (5) and Horder (1), and Frawley kicked a penalty goal.
The team to represent Garrison Thirds against West End on Saturday will be selected from the following:— A. Porter, E. Ahuriri, W. Ovenden, C. Stevenson, Morrison (2), R. Martin, J. Croskery, P. Cameron, J. O'Hara, McLoughlin, Bean, Carter, Newton, R. Hudson, Mellor, and L. McKay.
