1000 UNIONISTS LOCKED OUT.
(Received Sept. i, 9 a.m.) LONDON, September 3. Employers m the coal trade retaliated by locking out a thousand unionists. No coal is being delivered.
Larkin was brought before the Court and remanded, bail not being allowed.
[The Darkin referred to r is one of the strike leaders. He publicly burnt the proclamation prohibiting a demonstration m connection with the. tramway employees' strike, and a riot occurred when tlie police were endeavoring to arrest him, which they did after a severe struggle.]
