ATTACKS BY MOB

A large number of people bearing evidences of fighting were fined at the Dublin Police Court.
The Coal Merchants' Association is locking out members of the Transporters' Union. The Association has no objection to any union acting m a lawful manner, but bars the Transport Union. This involves the dismissal of many hundreds of men. (London Times-Sydney Sun Special Cables) (Received Sept. 4, 8:30 a.m.) LONDON, September 3. An early morning mob at Dublin extinguished the street lamps. They defied tha authorities. Windows were smashed wholesale and the streets were strewn with debris.
A Lancer riding to the Castle was stoned from a side street, and had to gallop to escape, the fusillade.
