The Million Club gave a luncheon, at Avliich seA-cral Parliamentarians and representatives of the professional and commercial classes Avere present.
Lord Emmott, speaking at the luncheon, said : "The more I see the more I am conA'inced that the time has come — or rapidly coming — when it will be Avorth 'while for the most important statesmen at Home to try to make themselves more familiar Avith the actual condition of affairs m the dominions."
Sir Joseph Walton, a member of the Empire Parliamentary party, has arrived. After doing Australia with the party he goes to New Zealand, where lie will spend at least a week. (Received Sept. 4, 9 a.m.) . SYDNEY, September 4. Sir G. Strickland entertained the British Parliamentary party at an Empire ball. There Avas a brilliant gathering. The visitors are uoav split into sections, visiting beauty spots and places of interest.
