ORGAN RECITAL.
The appreciation of tho splendid series of organ recitals being given at Holy Trinity Church waa shown by the large number present last night, for the third recital m the new church. The attendance included members" of alt.denominations, and some visitors who had come from long distances to attend. Tlie programme waa on the lines of those previously given, but with entirely iuw selections from famous musicians. The occasion waa also notable for the debut of a singer of coimderabje promise, Miss L Coleman.' The organist (Mr YE. -N. Side-bottom), for the opening number, played Enua Andrew's "March. Triumphal," which, as the name indicates, was a spirited piece that provided an excellent introduction to compositions by Gounod, Wolstenholme, Wagner, Liszt, and Grey. The second selection was Gounod's improssive "Elcgie," of quite a different kind. Then i came; the vocal solo, "Return, 0 f God of Hosts" (Handel). M.is 3 Coleman was completely successful, ha-virg a sweet voice of good range,' with capital expression, and m the ( second number, given at a later stage, the singing wji« very effective. It was another of Dandol's pieces, "Thou sha.lt bring therft in.' Miss Coleman's next appearance as a vocalist should be anticipated with pleasure. The other selections on the oriran, all finely played,. were as fallows: Allegretto m A flat (Wolstenholme) ; march, "Rienzi" (Wagner) ; canzonetta (Lisztl ; selection, "Tannhauser" (Wagner) ; Procession to Minster, "Lohengrin" (Wagner) ; Festal March (Grey). "Festal March" made a fine concluding number m a programme that must have been greatly enjoyed by all present. ___
