The Marton spring meeting is being held m fine weather, with a heavy westerly gale. The going is good. There is a- large attendance. Results: — ■ Hack Hurdles : Witched 1, Rill 2, Daisy Paul 3. Scratched: Hikiwai, Triohanga, and Crispineer. Won easily bytwo lengths, a similar distance between second and third. Time, 2.59.
Railway Handicap: Royal Simon 1, Kaniki 2, Merton 6. Scratched: Byron, Lord 1 Renown, and Golden Glade. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.20 3-5. Maiden Hack Plate : Bonnie Helen ' , Rewi Potoa 2 ? Stryax 3. Scratched : Crispineer and Sir Fisher. Won easily all the way, a length between second gnd third. Time, 1.37. Hunt Cup : Gondolier 1, Pylos 2, Consul 3. Scratched : Lady Bibcro, Rufus, Pukeroa, Hohepa, and Waikura. Won pulling up, a length between second and third. Time, 6.34.
