600 GIRLS LOCKED OUT.
THOUSANDS OF WORKERS LIKELY TO BECOME IDLE.
(Received Sept. 2, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 1. Jacob and Son, biscuit manufacturers of Dublin, havo forbidden their employers to wear trade union badges during work hours. They dp not object to their belonging to' the ordinary tr^de unions. They censure the tyranny of the Transport Workers' Union m interfering with the work.
Some employees belonging to the Transport Workers' Union are absent, and, 6QO girls are therefore locked out.
There are indications that thousands of other workers will bo idle to-morrow.
